Inbar Chotzen is an Israeli based visual artist who focuses on the exploration of the past, family history and the concept of family.
Inbar’s work engages primarily with the theme of family, moving between personal familial history and its broader, universal meanings. Based on family photographs; she dismantles and reconstructs scenes, into building a vivid memory. Nature is used as a theater stage for the characters and contributes to the intensity of the events. The past and present coexist in her works. The presentation of historical events involved with personal life and harsh reality. Her works evoke emotion, create an atmosphere that the viewer can identify with.
